Toyota 4Runner: Installation

INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

HINT:

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (See page ).


PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL PINTLE HOOK SUPPORT TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Pintle Hook)

(a) Install the pintle hook support tube sub-assembly with the 6 bolts.

Torque:

81 N·m {826 kgf·cm, 60 ft·lbf}

2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER LH

(a) Attach the 2 clips to install the rear bumper upper retainer LH.

3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

4. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY LH


5. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS AND BODY RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

6. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

(a) Attach the 5 claws to install the rear bumper side support LH.

(b) Install the 3 screws.

7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT LH

(a) Install the rear bumper bar reinforcement LH with the 3 bolts.

9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

(a) Install the rear bumper energy absorber.

11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER COVER

(a) Attach the 18 claws to install the rear bumper cover.

(b) Install the 8 bolts and 4 screws.

12. INSTALL REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD LH


13. INSTALL REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD RH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

14. INSTALL JACK BOX HOLE COVER

(a) Attach the 2 guides and 2 claws to install the jack box hole cover.

Reassembly
