PROCEDURE
1. DESCRIPTION OF CODE REGISTRATION
The key has 2 codes: the key code (immobiliser code) and the wireless code (recognition
code). Both of these codes need to be registered. For wireless code registration
procedures, refer to the following procedures (See page
). For key code registration procedures, refer
to the procedures below.
The key code is needed when the transponder key ECU, ECM or key is replaced with a new one.
2. KEY REGISTRATION PROCEDURES WHEN ADDING OR REPLACING KEY OR WHEN KEY IS LOST

(a) The following table shows ECU replacement and key registration procedures in case the malfunctioning ECU has been specified after troubleshooting the engine immobiliser system.

Additional key code registration

NOTICE:
When only the ignition key cylinder is replaced, the new key cannot be used to lock or unlock doors. Therefore, keep the original key for locking and unlocking doors in order to avoid being locked out of the vehicle if the transmitter battery becomes depleted.
